Amy McDonald is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 9 years of experience practicing in Medicine, her passion is Mental Health. Amy is a native Texan, and grew up locally in Bedford. After graduating from Trinity High School, she attended Texas A&M University in College Station to receive her Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at Texas A&M, she met her husband and they moved to Houston after graduation. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. Amy is certified by both the Texas Physician Assistant Board and the NCCPA. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Association of Physician Assistants in Psychiatry. Amy’s mission is to help others by providing compassionate and collaborative care supported by current evidence-based medicine practices. Patient care is of utmost importance to Amy, as is creating a safe environment where her patients feel respected and truly heard.
