Great Leadership, great environment, great people, family oriented
I had a great work experience working for Mid-Cities Psych. I was treated like a family member. The door is still open for me when I decide to return. The only reason I left was to pursue a doctoral degree and the time constraints of the degree plan would not allow full time work at that time. The medical director was very open, honest and caring. The CEO has an open door policy and will listen and try to correct administrative issues. The clinical staff is family oriented, helpful and collegial.Pros
Medical personnel is open, honest, family oriented. CEO is well connected in the community. He has an open door policy.Cons
Long distance from home.

I had a positive and fulfilling experience working for Mid Cities Psychiatry. The culture at Mid Cities Psychiatry was very supportive and very collaborative yet structured, not micro-managed at all unlike some other places, and very professional. Right from the first day I spoke on the phone and then face-to-face interview and then finally the offer, the management never sugar-coated, told me the way they operate, and the expectations were clearly shared. I am grateful for the experiences I had and had to leave for personal reasons but would highly recommend Mid Cities Psychiatry to others seeking a positive work environment.Pros

very structured, some people don't like to work in a structured environment.
Supportive work environment that supported me in the right way.
Pros
I'm glad I found the place where the culture is challenging yet, healthy, caring, and professional. On the first phone interview, we discussed that therapists are scheduled 8 patients a day 1-hour session but with reschedule/cancellations/no-shows it's comes to about 6 to 6.5 patients a day when numbers are tabulated after a month or a quarter. On the first face to face interview, they never sugar-coated what it'll be like if I decide to take the job, like paid time off may be used for vacation, personal time. public holidays, educational and/or professional meetings, medical insurance, dental/vision insurance, 401K, performance bonus. I really liked the idea of their shadowing interview, that was really helpful for me to make the decision to join or not. On the day of the final interview, offered me the pay was already discussed on the very first phone call. Everyone is a professional, very collaborative caring environment. I was not held accountable for the patient's reschedule/cancellations/no-shows. Management listens to the feedback and acts upon it. A very supportive professional collaborative culture focused on our success. Patients really loved the idea when so many mental health services are given in one place.Cons
High performance work environment that can be a little tough, but it also made me work harder and learn more than ever before.
